Emeric Lake Trail Ride

Overview

On the Emeric Lake Trail Ride you will spend 7 days traveling through remote and pristine wilderness with opportunities to fish and explore along the way. You will begin the trip at Frontier Pack Station, quickly ascending into Ansel Adams Wilderness and heading toward Marie Meadows. You will traverse through expansive wilderness before climbing up and over the renowned Donohue Pass and continue on toward Lyell Canyon, camping near a sweeping scenic meadow adjacent to Lyell Creek. While dinner is being prepared you can enjoy the views of Lyell Glacier and catch a large brook trout or two. The following day, continue on toward Vogelsang Trail Junction and Evelyn Lake before settling into camp at beautiful Emeric Lake. The glacial sculpted granite dropping into Emeric Lake is one you will remember for a lifetime. Emeric Lake, with it’s mirror reflection and colorful sunrises are the perfect photo subject whether you’re an amateur or professional photographer. Spend your down time exploring Babcock Lake, Fletcher Creek and soaking in the views of the Merced River. After departing Emeric Lake, you will head toward Tuolumne Pass and Rafferty Creek, finishing the trip in Tuolumne Meadows, Yosemite National Park.
