Golden Trout Base Camp

Overview

We will partner you up with a horse to match your ability and then ride into the beautiful Ansel Adams Wilderness. We will then continue to our base camp at Algers Lakes, where there will be plenty of time to fish for Golden Trout in the three nearby lakes.

Cost: $1325.00 per person + 3% USFS fee
*Deposit: $600 per person
*Instructors can be supplied for an additional charge.

Camp and Food

The camp setup includes folding chairs, enclosed privy, solar showers, horseshoe pitching set, etc. The meals are made with all fresh vegetables, fruit and entrees that will satisfy any fisherman. Our cooking has been described as five-star. Bring your own fishing gear.

Itinerary

Day One: Meet at the Pack Station in June Lake at 7:00 a.m., when breakfast will be served. We will partner you up with a horse to match you ability and then ride into the beautiful Ansel Adams Wilderness. Our lunch and fishing stop will be beside Crest Creek, where there will be plenty of Spawner Rainbow from Gem Lake. We will then continue to our base camp at Aglers Lakes. There will be plenty of time to fish that evening for Golden Trout in the two nearby lakes.
Day Two & Three: Both days are spent at our base camp to ensure you have plenty of time to catch large Golden Trout.
Day Four: Fish in the morning. After having lunch at the camp, we will return to the Pack Station, arriving at 4:00 p.m.
