Join us in this wilderness base camp setting. This trip is designed for the first time horse and mountain traveler. Learn wilderness etiquette and horsemanship. Ample time for fishing, photography and time to read a book.

Cost: $1100 per person + 3% USFS fee

Itinerary  

Day One: Meet at the pack station in June Lake at 7:00 a.m. when breakfast will be served. We will partner you up with a horse to match your ability and then ride into the beautiful Ansel Adams Wilderness. Our Camp will be along a tranquil glacier fed creek named Rush Creek. There will be plenty of time that evening to explore or fish the creek for Rainbow or Brook Trout.

Day Two: After breakfast, we will take a day ride to Weber Lake. A secluded lake sitting at 10,000 feet this captivating basin is known for large vibrant colored Brook Trout and captivating views in this sub alpine ecosystem. The evening will be spent back at camp fishing Rush creek and Gem Lake.

Day Three: Breakfast and fishing in the morning. After having lunch at camp, we will descend down the Rush Creek Drainage to the pack station arriving at 3:00 p.m.
