Black Lake Drive Scenery

This is a trip for those who would like to experience the life of a cowboy. You will herd about 100 head of horses and mules along the trail from the pack station to their winter pasture. This is an active traveling trip for people of all ages and riding levels. Your tents and gear will be transported each day and will be waiting for you as you drive the stock into camp. Don’t miss four days of hospitality, home cooking and the thrill of the roundup.

All trips are full service and include three mountain gourmet meals a day, horse, tack, and camp gear, plus lots of tall stories and singing around the evening campfire. Personal gear and a sleeping bag is all that is needed. Riders of all abilities, from beginning to expert are welcome.

We match you with horses suited to your riding ability, whether you’re a beginner or an expert. Our horses are gentle and mountain-trained.
